Alert for SBI customers. The State Bank of India may stop your SBI account for not updating your KYC. Customers will get a message something like Stop has been placed on your account SBI for the reason kyc updation overdue,
Here is a possible solution for this situation:
1. Call the Branch Manager and tell them about his STOP message and your current inability to visit the branch in person.
Most probably, he/she will ask you to mail these 3 self-attested KYC document copies to the branch mail ID (Aadhar, Pan, and a written application for removing this STOP).
2. If he/she doesn’t tell you to send it via mail, then request them, they will most likely agree.
3. Within a few hours of sending the mail, your STOP will be removed.
PS. Send mail from your registered mail ID with the bank.
If your email is not linked with the bank, then submit the email update form by physically visiting the branch.
Attach your passport size photo in the handwritten application as shown in the image below.
The branch mail ID is mentioned on the first page of your SBI passbook and also available online if the passbook is lost.
Here is an application format for you can write by own handwriting to request to lift the stop in your SBI account.

Please note that the stop has been placed on your account sbi by cyber cell and may not be removed until a legal clearance certificate is issued to the bank to remove the stop.
